About this one
Wide legs in unwashed denim fade differently from narrow ones: the wear lands on the hem and the seat rather than the knee. A 26 cm hem before soaking, and roughly 5% comes out of the length the first time it gets wet.
Wide: Straight from the hip with a wide, unbroken column to the hem.
Raw: Straight off the loom and never washed. It is stiff, it is a full size long, it shrinks when you wash it, and the fade pattern that ends up on it will be yours.
Care
- Wash it separately the first time. It will colour anything that is in the drum with it.
- Wash at 30 °C, cold to lukewarm.
- Turn it inside out first.
- Do not tumble dry. Hang it to dry instead.
- Leave it unwashed for as long as you are comfortable, then soak it cold and hang it to dry. Do not tumble dry at any point.
